The 27th UN-Water Meeting will take place from 25-26 August 2017, at the City Conference Center in Stockholm, Sweden. The meeting gathers UN-Water members and partners to discuss issues related to UN-Water, and is taking place prior to the annual World Water Week. UN-Water coordinates the efforts of UN entities and international organizations working on water and sanitation issues. Over 30 UN agencies, programmes and other UN entities dealing with water-related issues, including sanitation and natural disasters are Members of UN-Water. Over 35 international organizations, professional unions, associations or other civil-society groups that are actively involved in water, international in structure and membership are Partners of UN-Water. During the two day meeting in August, UN-Water Members will discuss issues related to UN-Water governance. Sessions with UN-Water Members and Partners will consider updates on the High-Level Panel on Water, the fourth meeting of the Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace, the draft Action Plan for the “International Decade for Action – Water for Sustainable Development” 2018 – 2028, the status of implementation of the 2030 Agenda, and monitoring and reporting of Sustainable Development Goal 6 (clean water and sanitation), among other items.
