Using the tenure guidelines for action research : a primer
As part of a collaborative project to strengthen the capacity of grassroots communities in Mali, Nigeria, Uganda and South Africa, this practical guide focuses on accountability and accountability politics in the global rush to grab land, water and other natural resources. Through action research, threatened communities can determine causes, conditions, and consequences that will inform collective action and advocacy, in particular by using the CFS/FAO Guidelines on Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests (Tenure Guidelines or TGs).

El presente Decreto reglamenta la Ley Nº 7.658, que creó el Programa de Regularización Dominial y Asistencia para Pequeños Productores Agropecuarios y Familias Rurales. A los fines de la aplicación de estas disposiciones reglamentarias, se entiende por por pequeños productores al conjunto heterogéneo de productores y sus familias que intervienen en forma directa en la producción, aportando al trabajo físico y la gestión productiva, no contratan mano de obra permanente y cuentan con limitaciones de tierra, capital y tecnología.

La familia de Mercedes Acland y Gustavo Delfín con su afán de retornar al campo para salir de una vida precaria en las periferias urbanas, accedió de diversas formas a la tierra. Su último acceso fue junto al grupo Comuna Tierra por dotación estatal, a través del INC, en modalidad de comodato durante dos años. Se dedica a la producción caprina, sin embargo no cuenta con las condiciones adecuadas.

Twenty-sixteen (2016) was a breakthrough year for the Land Portal Foundation. Through transforming its layout and key features, forming exciting new partnerships, and promoting an enormous diversity of new content, we achieved significant progress towards becoming the world’s leading online destination for information on land. Demand for the Land Portal was higher than ever, with unprecedented global interest in data and information on land governance. The number of Land Portal website visits increased considerably, with consistently 30,000 visits per month as of December 2016.
Women’s land rights as a pathway to poverty reduction
Land is an important asset for rural households, and having secure land rights is important for poverty reduction. Despite the large body of literature on the relationship between land tenure security, livelihoods, and poverty, most of this literature is based on household-level data and does not consider possible intrahousehold inequalities in land ownership.

Expert Group Meeting: Securing Women's Land Rights In The SDGs Monitoring Framework
This Expert Group Meeting (EGM1 ) was convened with the purpose of examining land indicators in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promoting meaningful and harmonised approaches to monitoring women’s land rights (WLR)2 . It was convened by the Global Land Indicators Initiative (GLII) of the GLTN, UN Habitat, and Oxfam with inputs and assistance from Landesa, UN Women and Huairou Commission as part of a process of work on the development of methodologies for the land related SDG indicator monitoring.
