Habitat for Humanity International applauds members of the Bureau of the Preparatory Committee, the Habitat III Secretariat, Member States and the engagement and dedication of all Habitat III stakeholders in creating the Zero Draft of the New Urban Agenda. Habitat III is a critical opportunity to reinvigorate global commitment to sustainable development and this draft sets us on the right path. The New Urban Agenda must: 1) emphasize adequate and affordable housing, 2) prioritize security of tenure, 3) promote community-led development, and 4) set specific and accountable measures.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is an issue of concern to governments, organized civil society groups, as well as business actors in the Mekong region. EIA and related forms of environmental assessments are being carried out throughout the region with varying levels of quality, legal frameworks, monitoring and compliance.
The objectives of this study were to evaluate the environmental and economic impacts of year-round-grazing systems and a conventional housing system for Japanese Brown fattening steers by the life cycle assessment (LCA) method. Four treatments were designed in this study; grazing fattening without feed rice (G group), grazing fattening with feed rice (GR-1 and GR-2 groups) and conventional housing fattening (H group). For the three grazing groups (G, GR-1, GR-2), supplemental concentrate was constantly supplied and hay was supplied only in winter.

En esta oportunidad se trata del texto escrito por el reconocido investigador peruano Laureano del Castillo, quien elaboró un documento (base de este artículo) para el Movimiento Regional por la Tierra (MRT) con una breve sistematización de las políticas vigentes en el Perú en torno al acceso y control de la tierra por parte de pequeños agricultores y comunidades.
Kohoku new town, constructed in suburbs of Yokohama-city in high economic growth period, built Green Matrix System (GMS), systematizing open space, public accommodation site and traffic. GMS, providing still good house environment today and being inherent with the characteristic of ex-natural environments, however, could not completely structure local natural environments as aimed at the beginning of the planning.
The new town, built to respond for housing demand in high economic growth period, had been developed in hilly suburbs area. Development plans of such new towns seem to be related natural environments closely, especially to former, original landform. Kozoji New Town, located in northeast part of Nagoya metropolitan area, was one of such new towns in the hilly area. In this study, we focused on water supply and drainage system of Kozoji New Town, to examine the effect of original landform to the development plan and urban infrastructure of the NT.
