El manual proporciona información sobre los procedimientos que siguen las brigadas de campo para realizar el establecimiento de los conglomerados y parcelas permanentes del Inventario Forestal Nacional (IFN). Asimismo, suministra información acerca de la planificación y ejecución de cada una de las fases que contempla el operativo, describe los métodos, técnicas e instrumentos que se emplean en la toma de los datos, y detalla el proceso de diligenciamiento de los formatos creados por IDEAM para registrar los datos e información de campo.

These tools were developed using livelihoods monitoring framework due to its ability to holistically capture CF group's outputs. This Issue Paper builds on the contributions of staff from government and non-government organizations from across the ASEAN region, as well as the private sector, who participated in the Regional Policy Dialogue held in Bangkok, Thailand on 8 - 9 March 2018. Entitled, "Connecting Finance and Policy: Forest Landscape Restoration in Southeast Asia," this event sought to establish dialogue and connections between vital stakeholders in Forest Landscape Restoration, particularly generating links between the private sector, government officials, and CSOs.

Environmental policies and regulations have been instrumental in influencing deforestation rates around the world. Understanding how these policies change stakeholder behaviours is critical for determining policy impact. In Queensland, Australia, changes in native vegetation management policy seem to have influenced land clearing behaviour of landholders. Periods of peak clearing rates have been associated with periods preceding the introduction of stricter legislation. However, the characteristics of clearing patterns during the last two decades are poorly understood.

The forum was co-hosted by the Mekong Region Land Governance Project and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Co-Conveners of the programme includes the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), University of Bern, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development (RCSD) and the Independent Mediation Group (IMG). The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg supported the Forum.

This document presents the proposal for guidelines for Participatory Community Monitoring in Colombia, which includes elements for the integration of information registered at the local level with the National Forest Monitoring System led by the IDEAM (SMByC). In order to formulate these guidelines, the collective construction with communities that inhabit and own most of the forests in the country, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and international cooperation was key.
