The purpose of these Measures is to prevent and control water and soil loss, protect and rationally utilize water and soil resources, reduce floods, droughts, wind and sand disasters, improve the ecological environment, build ecological security barrier, and ensure the sustainable development of economy and society. "The objectives of this Law are as follows:

a.to implement the Mineral Resources Policy of the Government;

b.to fulfil the domestic requirements and to increase export by producing more mineral products;

c.to promote development of local and foreign investment in respect of mineral resources;

Elle vise, notamment, à: préserver la diversité et l'intégrité de l'environnement; créer les conditions d'une utilisation quantitativement et qualitativement durable des ressources naturelles; garantir à tous les citoyens un cadre de vie écologiquement sain et équilibré. Les citoyens sont tenus à participer collectivement pour la sauvegarde de l'environnement.

The purpose of these Measures is to prevent and control water and soil loss, protect and rationally use water and soil resources, reduce flood and drought disasters, improve ecological environment, and ensure the sustainable development of economy and society. The Regulation consists of 18 articles.The regional competent water authority shall organize once every five years the investigation on the distribution, type, areas, damages, change tendency and control of soil and water loss.

The purpose of this Act is to contribute to the promotion of the public interest and the development of industries by effectively executing erosion control work in order to prevent devastation of national land and conserve the national land. Article 23 deals with erosion control work by local governments.

La presente Ley define, entre otros, los conceptos de biodiversidad, conservación del patrimonio ambiental, contaminación, impacto ambiental, desarrollo sustentable, zona latente y zona saturada. La Ley establece que determinados proyectos o actividades solo podrán ejecutarse o modificarse previa su evaluación del impacto ambiental (EIA), correspondiendo a la Comisión Regional o Nacional del Medio Ambiente la administración del sistema de EIA, así como la coordinación de los organismos del Estado involucrados en la obtención de los permisos o pronunciamientos.
