This Decree, consisting of 4 Chapters and 2 Annexes, regulates the Institute for Land and Agricultural Reform (ITERAL) under the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Supply and Fisheries (SEAP). It specifies composition, duties and responsibilities of ITERAL, entitled to perform the following activities: enacting the State agricultural policy, promoting the recognition of legitimate land ownership; mediating agricultural conflicts; offering technical and social support to indigenous communities, conducting training on new agricultural techniques; designing maps; establishing rural and urban cadastres; technical management of natural resources; etc.
