The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The present Regulation is made under the Assessment Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to prescribed classes of property. All properties in British Columbia are classified based on land use and the requirements are outlined in the present Regulations. There are nine separate property classifications.

This Order provides for the delegation of powers (other than the power to prosecute an offence) and duties of Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Gaeltacht conferred on him or her by or under various Acts and Regulations listed in the Schedule to this Order to the Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Community and Gaeltacht. Legislation includes (parts of) the Planning and Development Act 2000 and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 to 2012.

This Regional Law regulates land relations concerning land-use planning, urban land zoning and land tenure of public land. It establishes that land tenure shall be performed exclusively in accordance with purposeful use of land. Land classification by categories, including classification of public and municipal land as agricultural land, transfer of land from one category to another shall be carried out by the supreme regional executive body.

This Regional Law establishes administrative liability for offences in the sphere of land-use planning of urban land within urban areas and other inhabited areas. Administrative liability shall be applicable in the form of warning (notification) and fine. This Regional Law shall be applicable to land-use planning of the urban territory, zoning, urban ecology, recreational activities, sanitary, hygienic and epidemiological regulation.
