Location

The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Act amends and consolidates the Law relative to development and planning in relation with land.The Act consists of 84 sections divided into 11 Chapters: Interpretation and application (I), Administration (II); Development Plan (III); Control of Development of Land (IV); Special provision in certain cases (V); Subdivisions (VI); Compensation for refusal or conditional grant of planning permission (VII); Planning and other Regulations (VIII); Appeals and reviews (IX); Enforcement (X); Supplemental (XI).There shall continue in existence a Development Applications Board under section 3 and

Law on Lease.

The present Law regulates relations arising from contracts of lease of constructions, land or natural resources.The Law consists of 94 articles divided into 16 Chapters which carry, inter alia, the following titles: General provisions (1); Lease agreement (2), Ownership under lease (3); Alteration, cancellation, termination, and extension of lease agreements (4); Protection of lessee's rights of ownership (5); Buying out of (leased) property (15); Free of Charge transfer of State property (16).Chapters 6 to 14 deal with leasing of enterprises and labour and related matters.

This Act, among other things, redefines "acts of development", amends provisions relative to community areas agreements and inserts various new sections. Section 72A provides for the designation of areas in development plans for purposes of protection of woodlands, beaches, arable lands, caves, and habitats, and other natural features. A development plan may appoint also "historic areas" under section 29A. The new section 31A provides for agreements relative to the development or use of land between the Minister and persons having an interest in the land in question.

La presente Ley, conforme al artículo 28 de la Constitución de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, tiene por objeto la protección, conservación, mejoramiento y restauración de los recursos naturales y del ambiente en general en el ámbito de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, a fin de preservar la vida en su sentido más amplio; asegurando a las generaciones presentes y futuras la conservación de la calidad ambiental y la diversidad biológica.

The State grants land to natural or legal persons who then enjoy the right of ownership and all other accompanying rights envisaged by this Law. The sale and purchase of land is prohibited. Agricultural land is given in ownership or for use to local legal or natural persons without remuneration. Article 4 concerns land tenure by foreigners. Article 5 provides for succession of land rights by members of agricultural cooperatives.
