The Corruption Perceptions Index aggregates data from a number of different sources that provide perceptions of business people and country experts of the level of corruption in the public sector. This indicator uses the CPI scores calculated every year to rank countries based on the level of perceived corruption (the country with the lowest level of percieved corruption is ranked number one). This indicator is based on the CPI methodology updated in 2012 ((See: http://files.transparency.org/content/download/2055/13232/file/CPI_2016_...)).
