The Ministry of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) was created in 2009. Chiang Mai University (CMU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่) is a public research university in northern Thailand founded in 1964. It has a strong emphasis on engineering, science, agriculture, and medicine. Its instructional mission includes undergraduate, graduate, professional and continuing education offered through resident instruction. Its main campus lies between Chiang Mai downtown and Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province.

The CIDKP was formed in 1998 to raise awareness about the plight of internally displaced Karen/Kayin people and to deliver humanitarian assistance in response to their needs.

The organization has field staff in all townships of Karen/Kayin State, as well as in parts of Tenasserim/Tanintharyi Region, northern Mon State and eastern Bago Region.

Its main programme activities include the delivery of relief assistance to displaced communities who have experienced shocks to their livelihoods.

It also supports a prosthesis workshop for people injured by landmines.

Network for Environment and Economic Development (NEED) educates, trains and empowers the next generation of Burmese civil society leaders in sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation and community-based economic development in order to protect the livelihood, interests, and human rights of all Burmese people. NEED-Burma provides an experiential and multi-ethnic learning environment for motivated Burmese youth to learn alternative and traditional agriculture techniques.

ITOCA (Information Training & Outreach Centre for Africa) is a capacity building organisation aimed at enhancing information and communications technology (ICT) skills for African librarians, information specialists, scientists, researchers and students in Sub-Saharan Africa.

SARIPS is a semi-autonomous technical arm of the SAPES TRUST that was established in 1998 to undertake research, training and policy dialogue. The SAPES Trust, which started as a project of the African Association of Political Science (AAPS) was registered as a non-governmental, non-profit making body dedicated to nurture and promote indigenous capacity in the social sciences in 1987.

The South Sudan Law Society (SSLS) is a civil society organization based in Juba. Its mission is to strive for justice in society and respect for human rights and the rule of law in South Sudan. The SSLS manages projects in a number of areas, including legal aid and paralegal training, human rights awareness-raising, and capacity-building for legal professionals, traditional authorities, and government institutions.

The Centre for Rural Legal Studies (CRLS) was established in 1991 as a non-governmental organisation committed to the redistribution of power and resources in rural areas of the Western, Northern and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa.
