This Act makes provision for the payment of compensation for withholding of property by persons acting in collusion with tenants and for the recovery of non-paid rent. The Act also makes provision for the renewal of leases without the surrender of land.

This Act makes provision for the regulation and control of land survey practices and for this purpose establishes the Land Surveyors' Board and appoints the Chief Surveyor. The Chief Surveyor shall also direct and control all public surveys and shall be the authority for the preparation and publication of the official maps of Montserrat.

This Act establishes the Agricultural Rent Board for purposes of control of rent of small holdings, i.e. parcels of land intended for cultivation or pasturage, with or without buildings thereon, consisting of not less than a quarter of an acre and not more than 25 acres.

This Act makes provision for the management and conservation of forest and wildlife resources in Montserrat. It establishes the Forestry, Wildlife, National Parks and Protected Areas Board and the Environmental Fund. The Board shall, among other things, advise the Minister and review and revise the national forest, wildlife and national parks plan.

This Act provides rules relative to agriculture in Montserrat. The provisions of this Act shall have effect for the purpose of securing that owners and occupiers of agricultural land fulfil their responsibilities to the community to manage and farm the land so as to prevent erosion and ruination of the soil. The Governor shall appoint an Agricultural Lands Commissioner.

There is established a Development Control authority which shall consist of the members as specified in section 3. It shall be the duty of the Authority to institute a survey in Montserrat on matters that are to be expected to effect the development or the planning of the development.

This Act makes provision in relation to succession to real and personal estate on intestacy.
