Report discusses the labour practices observed and changes in the target communities. It provides detailed summary descriptions of work practices and conditions that are contrasted against key national legal instruments namely the Labour Law. It also identifies a few key emerging developments in the target communities observed in the course of the research. Report was written for Global Association of People and the Environment (GAPE) & Japanese International Volunteer Center (JVC), funded by Oxfam Novib.

Land is very central for human survival and development. In fact, it is so elemental to human
survival that it can be said that it is where life begins and it is where life ends. Land is the source
of livelihood and to many a Kenyan it is the source of food, shelter, clothing and even medicine.
Consequently the procedure of acquisition of rights or interest over the same cannot be any less
significant.
In that regard the Constitution of Kenya 2010 does recognize such right and provides for the

Strategy implementation is the translation of chosen strategy into organizational action so as to achieve strategic goals and objectives. Strategy implementation is also defined as the manner in which an organization should develop, utilize, and amalgamate organizational structure, control systems, and culture to follow strategies that lead to competitive advantage and a better performance. The main objectives of this study were to investigate the challenges of strategy implementation in the ministry of Northern Kenya and other arid areas.

This Report presents the findings of this research effort. A comprehensive consideration of the many aspects of land ownership in Nepal, including the related issues of agricultural development, the impact of nonstate actors in newly-formed special economic zones, and the claims of landlords returning to land seized during the Maoist conflict is beyond the scope of this project. The Report and study focused on documenting the impact that inadequate access to land has on the human rights of landless people, including rights to housing, food, water, work, and access to justice.

La nueva oleada de acuerdos sobre tierras no es la inversión en agricultura que millones de personas esperaban. Las personas más pobres son quienes más sufren cuando se intensifica la competencia por la tierra. Las investigaciones de Oxfam demuestran que la población local suele salir perdiendo frente a las élites locales y a los inversores nacionales o extranjeros, ya que carece de poder para hacer valer sus derechos y defender sus intereses eficazmente.

This report is in relation to a study on the Land Tenure and Livelihood Issues in the Albertine Graben Region. The study was carried out in three districts of Amuru Buliisa and Hoima. The study specifically focused on tenurial arrangements and land transactions in the region. The ultimate outcome of this study will be drawing of policy issues for policy engagement and dialogue towards a comprehensive policy direction to land governance in the Albertine Graben.

The last decade has seen a significant increase in the number of retail centres being developed in 'emerging economy' areas - townships and rural areas - in South Africa. In Soweto, for example, at least six shopping centres have opened their doors since 2005. Even in the townships of smaller South African cities, shopping centre developments have sprung up, changing the face of commercial transactions for many residing in these areas.

Bien que des mesures d’adaptation efficaces soient connues et aient été intégrées dans les plans d’action nationaux pour l’adaptation au changement climatique, les financements internationaux ne suivent pas et ne suffisent pas à répondre aux besoins.
