En este nmero es nuestro propsito analizar los planes en curso con vistas al lanzamiento de la Alianza Global por el Recurso Suelo, una iniciativa ambiciosa destinada a apoyar los esfuerzos mundiales encaminados a resolver los problemas comunes relacionados con la ordenacin de suelos. Tambin examinamos un proyecto regional enfocado en la asistencia a cuatro pases andinos Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador y Per que hacen frente a problemas relacionados con la adaptacin al cambio climtico y la gestin riesgos en casos de desastre en el sector agrcola.

This edition of The State of the World’s Land and Water Resources for Food and Agriculture presents objective and comprehensive information and analyses on the current state, trends and challenges facing two of the most important agricultural production factors: land and water.

Dans ce numéro, nous examinerons une nouvelle publication intitulée « Paiements pour services environnementaux et sécurité alimentaire ». Ce document a été produit dans le cadre du processus de préparation de la Conférence Rio+20, prévue en 2012. Nous nous projetterons également dans la semaine mondiale de lâ¿¿eau qui se tiendra à Stockholm, Suède, du 21 au 27 Août, au cours de laquelle la FAO participera à un séminaire destiné à anticiper le thème de la journée mondiale de lâ¿¿eau en 2012 â¿¿ Eau et sécurité alimentaire.

到2050年，全球范围内的粮食产量预计需要再递增70%左右，而在发展中国家这一比例将近100%。面对粮食增产的这一需求，再加上其他领域需求的争夺，使全球许多农业生产系统纷纷置于前所未有的压力之下。这些“濒临系统”正处于愈演愈烈的水土资源大战之中，而且还经常受到不可持续的农耕方式的掣肘。因此，需要对其特别注意并采取具体的救助措施。《世界粮食和农业领域土地及水资源状况》（SOLAW）就这些高危领域如何克服制约因素并改善资源管理探讨了多种方案。在每一个领域，除了要在制度和政策上作出一些列调整外，还必须将其与扩大技术应用结合起来，以获得更好的水土资源管理效果。另外，加大投资力度、提供新型融资机制以及开展国际合作与开发援助也有助于克服这些制约因素。本书作为《世界粮食和农业领域土地及水资源状况》第一期，是对联合国粮食及农业组织出版的其他“世界状况”类报告的一个补充，其旨在揭示国家与国际层面上的论争和决策情况。

En este número nos proponemos examinar una nueva publicación intitulada Payments for ecosystem services and food security («Pagos por servicios del ecosistema y seguridad alimentaria»). Este documento forma parte del proceso preparatorio de participación de la FAO en Río+20, un acontecimiento por celebrarse en 2012. También proyectamos una mirada sobre la Semana Mundial del Agua, que tendrá lugar en Estocolmo (Suecia) del 21 al 27 de agosto. En esa ocasión la FAO participará en un seminario que anticipará el tema del Día Mundial del Agua de 2012, «Agua y seguridad alimentaria».

Dans ce numéro, nous examinerons le Partenariat mondial sur les bioénergies et le travail important qu’il a entrepris – en collaboration avec les gouvernements et les institutions internationales – pour formuler des indicateurs de durabilité pour les projets de bioénergie. Nous nous intéresserons aussi à l’Initiative ‘Aliments pour les villes’, une approche intégratrice pour coordonner les activités de la FAO dans les zones urbaines et périurbaines et pour partager les bonnes pratiques avec d’autres organisations internationales et de la société civile.

Les plateformes d'innovation sont une nouvelle approche pour une concertation entre acteurs en vue d'appréhender l'ensemble des facteurs affectant une chaîne de valeur agricole. Hubert Some de la SNV nous offre son point de vue sur les expériences en cours dans le bassin de la Volta. Cette entrevue fait partie du projet V2 ‘Gestion intégrée des eaux pluviales pour les écosystèmes agro-pastoraux’ du Programme de Défi pour l’Eau et l’Alimentation (CPWF) dans le Bassin de la Volta.
