This Regional Law regulates relations dealing with land tenure, protection and conservation of land, establishing plenary powers of regional state bodies in this sphere and, in particular the issues related to land tenure and ownership. It establishes minimum (0, 5 ha) and maximum (15 ha) public and municipal land areas for plots of land allotted for family farming. Single natural or legal persons cannot have in ownership more than 10 percent of the whole available agricultural land area on the regional territory.

The Albanian National Land Consolidation Strategy is a national strategy with a cross-sectoral approach. The timeframe is a 15 year period from 2014 to 2028, divided into three major phases. The Strategy promotes the creation of economically viable, competitive and sustainable family farms. The overall aim is to contribute to sustainable development and to enhance the agricultural sector in an inclusive and gender and socially equitable manner, so as to ensure food security, alleviation of poverty and the rational use of natural resources.

Order No. 307 on the administrative operation of Local Action Groups pursuing the rural development programme for 2007-201, and delegation of certain ministerial administrative tasks in adherence to the Rural Development Act.

The Order applies to the administrative operation of local action groups – as institution partnership between local authorities, organizations, associations, businesses and citizens – with the purpose of aiming to a local development strategy of rural land development. The existing local action groups shall manage parts of the Danish fisheries development program for the period 2007-2013. In order to follow this strategic planning, these institutions shall have the responsibility to carry out tasks of monitoring, coordinating and administering.

Government Decree No. 21 of 2006 (I.31.) Korm. concerning the use and utilization of the first bottom, river banks, wetlands and areas endangered by underseepage and on the procedures related to devaluation of the areas protected by summer dykes.

This Regional Law regulates relations dealing with ownership, management, tenure and disposal of agricultural land and shares in common property of agricultural land. Minimum land area of consolidated agricultural land plots pertaining to public, municipal and common land ownership shall be set at average land share area established at the moment of allotment free of charge in ownership.

Regional Act No. 30 on the reclamation of abandoned lands, uncultivated lands and lands insufficiently cultivated.

This Regional Act provides for the reclamation and improvement of abandoned or uncultivated lands and lands which are insufficiently cultivated, within the environmental protection framework. Article 2 gives the definition of abandoned land, uncultivated land and insufficiently cultivated land. Within nine months from the entry into force of this Act, the Regional Council shall determine the abandoned lands falling within the regional territory. Thereafter, the Regional Council shall establish the criteria for the agricultural or forest use of such lands.

Order No. 150 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Regulation on state registration of soil fertility indices of agricultural land.

This Order establishes that state registration of soil fertility indices of agricultural land shall include data collection and processing soil, agrochemical, phytosanitary, ecological and toxicological analysis of agricultural land. The purpose of state registration of soil fertility indices of agricultural land shall be to provide state executive bodies, local self-government and natural and legal persons concerned with information on the state of soil fertility of agricultural land.

This Act makes provision with respect to the control of the carrying out of designated village homestead programmes by the Marianas Public Lands Authority. The Authority shall grant certificates of compliance to homesteaders but may revoke such certificate if, within a prescribed period, the homesteader has not complied with requirements. However, the certificate may not be revoked if services such as public water and sewerage were not extended to the homestead concerned.
