La presente Ley reforma integralmente la Ley de Expropiaciones, que regula la expropiación forzosa por causa de interés público legalmente comprobado. La expropiación se acuerda en ejercicio del poder de imperio de la Administración Pública y comprende cualquier forma de privación de la propiedad privada o de derechos o intereses patrimoniales legítimos, cualesquiera sean sus titulares, mediante el pago previo de una indemnización que represente el precio justo de lo expropiado.

El Decreto Supremo, que consta de 4 artículos, precisa las pruebas complementarias válidas por sí mismas para efectos de acreditar el derecho de posesión de predios rurales al amparo del Decreto Legislativo Nº 667 de 1991. Dispone, además, que las oficinas registrales podrán admitir otras pruebas de la posesión que contribuyan a la demostración del derecho invocado por el agricultor.

President of the Regional Council of Ministers orders to validate the form of official acts on land ownership, life-long hereditary ownership and open-ended (permanent) land tenure. Official acts must be issued by the heads of the local administrations in accordance with the Instructions of the Committee on Land Reform and Land resources attached to the Government of the Russian Federation. This comprehensive Agreement between Canada, British Columbia and the Tla’amin Nation is a Treaty and a Land Claims Agreement within the meaning of sections 25 and 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. The Agreement exhaustively sets out the rights of Tla’amin First Nation, their attributes, the geographic extent of those rights, and the limitations to those rights to which the Parties have agreed.

The present Rural Development Policy and Strategies underscores one basic objective with regard to economic development, i.e. to build a market economy in which: i) a broad spectrum of the Ethiopian people are beneficiaries; ii) dependence on food aid is eliminated; and, iii) rapid economic growth is assured.
