One of the main objectives of the Innovahubs model promoted within the regional Initiative AgriLAC Resiliente is to provide spaces for collaborative learning by promoting the exchange and participation of actors from the different regions of intervention in Honduras and Guatemala.

This work aimed at (1) reviewing published documents and reports to identify TIMPs with the potential for scaling to reduce GHGE, (2) identifying the constraints and challenges faced by different value chain actors in scaling aquatic food system TIMPs from the angle of low emission development, (3) identifying potential social, economic, and environmental co-benefits and spillover effects from scaling the TIMPs, and (4) conducting a stakeholder consultation in Kisumu County, Kenya, to map out aquaculture value chains and identify sources of emissions, and identify promising TIMPs for scalin

The objective of this report is to analyze, mapping and select the main value chains with potential to integrate the agroecological principles in Tunisia. Based on the secondary data, rapid value chain analysis, focus group discussions at the living labs and participatory approach with the main stakeholders, three value chains were identified in Siliana and Kef governorates: olive oil, sheep meat and honey. The VC assessment according to agroecological principles conducted with the main actors places the olive oil VC as the major value chain with agroecological character.

This workshop report is about climate change, gender and livelihoods among fisher communities in the Lake Victoria Zone Region in Kenya. The purpose of the workshop was to share and validate the findings of the scoping study carried out by WorldFish from March to July, 2023. The objective of the study was to assess through a gender lens how climate change affects the fishing communities in two riparian counties, specifically in Homabay and Migori counties, which are located along Kenya’s Lake Victoria Zone Region.

The objective of this report is to select the main value chains with potential to integrate the agroecological principles in the Northwest of Tunisia. A descriptive analysis on the two governorates chosen was first made, then 4 focus group discussions were organized with local farmers associations. The VC assessment according to agroecological principles conducted with the main actors places the olive oil VC as the major value chain with agroecological character.

We present an application of the method to the Thoria watershed in India. We analyze land cover changes in the Thoria watershed between the years 2000, 2020 and future scenarios, and subsequently map the above-ground carbon stock using the InVEST model along with remotely sensed data. The land use products and above-ground carbon stock modelling results can be used by diverse stakeholders to support land use planning, especially decisions around how to allocate land resource to balance food production, carbon sequestration, and other ecosystem services provided by common lands.

The CGIAR Initiative on Nature-Positive Solutions in Burkina Faso works in the provinces of Bazèga, Boulkiemdé, Kadiogo and Oubritenga. Because of the predicted challenges associated with environmental factors such as climate change, soil degradation and rainfall variability, which negatively impact the viability of smallholder agriculture, the transition toward sustainable and resilient agricultural and food systems is paramount. Nature-based solutions can play a major role in this transition.

In Kenya, NATURE+ unites people to solve shared challenges in food and natural systems. Farmers are putting their land and expertise together to tap into economies of scale and restore natural landscapes and agricultural productivity. Scientists and innovators are improving community seedbanks, restoring land with native trees, and creating value-added products – including from rural waste. NATURE+ shows that winning solutions begin where the best interests of people and nature intersect.

NATURE+ works in the north western Vietnamese provinces of Lao Cai and Son La. Known for their hilly terrain, terraced rice fields and diverse ethnic groups, these provinces have high potential for increased food production. But sustainability, nutrition, health, conservation of nature and traditional knowledge are sometimes overlooked. The Initiative aims to help address these gaps in the areas’ development.

Identification of the data gaps can help determine the appropriate methods to improve aquaculture farm operation, production and market access, as well as community capacity. The data gaps can be addressed by
creating a national aquaculture database in collaboration with various stakeholders including government bodies, research institutes, private entities, and aquaculture farmers.
