O  artigo  destina-se  ao  público  em  geral,  com  destaque  para  os  académicos, juristas  (operadores  da Administração da Justiça)  e organizações da sociedade civil que lutam pela promoção e defesa dos direitos fundamentais dos cidadãos. A  extinção  de direitos sobre  a  terra  pode  resultar  de  múltiplos factores,  nomeadamente,  por razões voluntárias  (transmissão,  renúncia,  etc.),  por  razões  involuntárias  ou  legais  (como,  por  exemplo,  a  revogação do DUAT).

Objectives of the study:
• Assist in the interpretation of Mozambique’s current legal framework in the context of LNG projects
• Provide a basis for informed discussion and negotiation between stakeholders and the public in general
• Contribute to the creation of a modern and competitive regulatory oil & gas regime for Mozambique that is consistent with international best practices

Os objectivos específicos deste projecto consistem na assistência à interpretação do actual enquadramento legislativo de Moçambique (no contexto de projectos de GNL) e no apoio ao desenvolvimento de um quadro jurídico que permita aos projectos de GNL desenvolverem se assegurando, ao mesmo tempo, um resultado positivo para o país.

Foi recentemente aprovada uma nova Lei de Petróleos, a Lei nº 21/2014, de 18 de Agosto. Nos termos desta lei, compete ao Governo regulamentar as matérias nela constantes, no prazo de 60 dias (artigo 70). Tendo sido elaborada uma Proposta de Regulamento da Lei de Petróleos, cumpre-nos analisar a conformidade da mesma com a lei, assim como tecer comentários sobre o novo regime, confrontando, sempre que necessário, com a legislação anterior.

This scoping study was commissioned to identify issues on land/forest related investment in Tanzania as part of a strategic engagement between Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF), HAKIARDHI/ LARRRI and the World Wide Fund for Nature – Coastal East Africa Initiative (WWF-CEAI).

Agricultural census data and fieldwork observations are used to analyze changes in land cover/use intensity across Rondônia and Mato Grosso states along the agricultural frontier in the Brazilian Amazon. Results show that the development of land use is strongly related to land distribution structure. While large farms have increased their share of annual and perennial crops, small and medium size farms have strongly contributed to the development of beef and milk market chains in both Rondônia and Mato Grosso.

This monograph is published by Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS), Hyderabad observed large scale acquisition of agricultural lands in India in recent years for Special Economic Zones (SEZs), thermal power plants, irrigation projects etc., have become serious issue of socio-political contestation. Large scale corporate land grab taken place due to big involvement of private sector. In undivided Andhra Pradesh state, land acquisition for irrigation projects and SEZs, industrial and power projects in private sector are major issues of contention.
