The proclamation of the special protected areas (SPA) is done according to the requirements set forth by Article 4/3 of the Law 8906 of 2002 on protected areas. To be eligible for SPA status, the territories should be within existing protected areas and enjoy the Ramsar status as ligatins of international importance, or the Berne status as areas of great importance for the flora and fauna protection.

El presente Decreto Supremo tiene por objeto reglamentar la aplicación de la Ley N° 180 de 2011, de Protección del Territorio Indígena y Parque Nacional Isiboro Sécure – TIPNIS, en su doble condición de área Protegida y territorio indígena de los indígenas Yuracaré, Tsimane y Mojeño-Trinitario que lo habitan.

This Order, made under section 9(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act, concerns control of development in the North-western Peninsula of Trinidad as described in the Schedule to this Order. Where the Minister holds: (a) that development as indicated on the Chaguaramas Development Plan should not be undertaken in any case; or (b) that development should not be undertaken except express permission is granted by him or her in that behalf, s(he) may direct that the permission shall not apply to all or any development in any particular area specified in the direction.

This Order, made under section 9(1) of the Town and Country Planning Act, provides that development of any class specified in the Schedule to this Order shall be permitted and may be undertaken without the permission of the Minister upon land to which this Order applies, provided that the permission in respect of any such class of development shall be subject to any condition or limitation imposed in the Schedule in relation to that class.

This Decision makes a minor change in Article. 1 of the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 2012/3907 on the usage of revenues acquired by the implementation of Law No. 6292. Acording to this Decision three percent of the revenues may be used for investment purposes instead of 0.52 percent as Decision No. 3907 determined.

This Decision sets out the procedure of the usage of revenues acquired by the implementation of Law No. 6292 on supporting the development of forest villagers, valuation of areas declassified from being forest area on behalf of the Treasury and vending of agriculture lands owned by the Treasury.

These Regulations lay down some amendments to regulations 5, 6 and 7 of the Assessment and Management of Flood Risks Regulations, which concern flood hazard maps and flood risk management plans.
