The Act consists of 99 sections which are divided into 6 Parts: Preliminary (I); Land Holding (II); Control of Land Use (III); Land Management (IV); Land Tribunals (V); Miscellaneous (VI).Sections 3 declares all land in Uganda to be vested in its citizens and divides land tenure systems into 4 categories: customary; freehold; mailo; and leasehold. Section 4 defines these titles in detail.

This Chapter provides for the termination of a tenancy or another estate at will and recovery of possession by the landlord. A tenancy or other estate at will, however created, may be terminated by the landlord's giving notice in writing to the tenant, in the manner prescribed by §21108 of this Title. The termination notice shall be of at least thirty days.
The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the rent of lands under the control of the General Authority for Fisheries Development for the establishment of aquaculture facilities. This Resolution is composed of 18 articles. The rent of uncultivated lands under the control of the Authority shall be regulated by Presidential Resolution No. 465 of 1983 (art. 1).

This Regional Law regulates the issues of agricultural land. It establishes that minimum consolidated land area of agricultural land shall be 0, 1 ha and maximum agricultural land area located within the boundaries of a single municipal unit that can be owned by a single natural or legal person shall not exceed 10 percent of total available agricultural land area.
This Regional Law regulates relations dealing with land tenure, protection and conservation of land, establishing plenary powers of regional state bodies in this sphere. This Decree establishes that the competent authority for real estate issues is the countrywide network system of land offices (territorial and local offices). They are responsible for registration of legal transactions, cadastral mapping changes and dealing with land and other real estate property-related activities.
These Rules prohibit the lease or sale of Government land outside the area of any township or station within a given distance from the centre of any public road. Furthermore, no building, fencing or other obstacle shall be erected within a given distance from the centre of any public road outside the area of any township or station.
