It is composed of the Chancellor, who is leader of the government, the Vice-Chancellor, and senior ministers. The President and the Government together form the executive branch of Austria.

Land Transaction Amendment Law 2012.

The present Law introduces some substantial amendments to the Land Transaction Law 2001 (LGBl. 9/2002). In particular, the Law adds a chapter 2a to article 13 on Acquisition of building land. The afore-mentioned chapter consists of: Sphere of application, objectives (art. 13a); Building land (art. 13b); Legal transactions subject to registration (art. 13c); Terms of use (art. 13d). Furthermore, article 35 on Penalties is reworded and article 35a on References to federal Legislation is added.

Upper Austria Geo-Data Infrastructure Law

The purpose of the present Law is to lay down rules aimed at the establishment of the infrastructure for spatial information in Upper Austria with a view to environmental policies and activities which may have an impact on the environment. The text consists of 20 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Metadata, spatial data sets and spatial data services (2); Network services (3); Use of spatial data and spatial data services by competent authorities (4); Coordination and monitoring (5); Legal protection (6); Final provisions (7). Three Annexes are enclosed.

Ordinance by the regional government of Burgenland amending the Burgenland Building Ordinance 2008.

The present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Burgenland Building Ordinance 2008 (LGBl. No. 63/2008). The Ordinance amends, inter alia, article 34 establishing that in new buildings and major renovations of buildings the technical, ecological and economic use of highly efficient alternative systems as far as available shall be considered and documented and in particular the decentralized supply of energy coming from renewable sources.

The present Law transposes into national Law the Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the indication by labelling and standard product information of the consumption of energy and other resources by energy-related products. In particular, the Law lays down provisions relating to building technology and building equipment, as well as to environmental, health and energy requirements of buildings. Furthermore, the Law also applies to parcel of lands and other constructions and facilities subject to requirements of the present Law.

The purpose of the present Act is to establish a national spatial data infrastructure. The Act provides the legal framework for: 1) access to spatial data, spatial data and metadata services of spatial data holding agencies and 2) the use of such data and services, especially for measures which may have some impact on the environment.
