The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Le présent décret régit les transactions immobilières privées (la vente, la cession gratuite ou l’échange d'un immeuble entre particuliers). Toute transaction immobilière d’un immeuble ne peut faire l'objet de transaction par parcelles qu'après un lotissement approuve conformément à la règlementation en vigueur. Toute personne privée désirant entreprendre une transaction immobilière saisit le service départemental du cadastre territorialement compétent d'une demande de bornage de la parcelle concernée.

This Regional Decree establishes the modalities of performance of municipal land control by local government. Municipal land control shall be conducted in the form of ordinary and extraordinary inspections of legal persons and individual entrepreneurs. The subject of inspection shall be checking data and information contained in the documentation related to land tenure. The scope of inspection shall be to control compliance by land tenant with compulsory legislative requirements related to land tenure with a view of prevention and suppression of unauthorized transactions with land.
