The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the sphere of conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage of regional significance. Identified objects of cultural heritage shall be subject to mandatory state registration. Establishment and mapping of the boundaries of land areas containing objects of cultural heritage and land-use planning within the boundaries of the aforesaid areas, and special regime of land tenure shall be validated by the Regional Government.
Measures for the administration of annual plans for land use.
These Measures, consisting of 20 Articles, aim to strengthen land management and regulation, strictly implement the land use control, and effectively protect arable land.The Measures provide for the requirements, procedures and rules to be satisfied for the preparation, issuance, implementation, supervision and assessment of the annual plans for land use.

Decree No. 67 of 2016 of the Ministry of Land and Resources regarding to the Interpretation of the Ministry of Land and Resources on Article 7 of the Measures for Land and Resources-Related Administrative Penalties.
According to Article 7 of the Measures for Land and Resources Administrative Penalties, the Ministry of Land and Resources shall have jurisdiction over major or complicated cases concerning land and resources occurred nationwide and those cases that should be under its jurisdiction as set forth in the law and regulation. This Decree provides for the definition of the major or complicated cases.
Regional Law No. 201-31 amending Regional Law No. 333-64 “On protection of the objects of cultural heritage”.
Article 3 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Laws of Saint Petersburg shall validate special regimes of land tenure within the boundaries of protection areas containing objects of cultural heritage”.
