The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

Regional Law No. 871-PK “On allotment of plots of land to multiple children family”.

This Regional Law establishes that plots of municipal land and plots of land with undelimited ownership shall be allotted to multiple children family in ownership free of charge and without sale for individual housing construction, suburban housing construction, subsidiary smallholding, farming, gardening, horticulture and stockbreeding. The aforesaid plots of land shall be allotted to families or single parents with three or more children of minority age. Minimum land area of plots of land shall be 0, 10 ha and maximum land area shall be 0, 25 ha.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of organization, protection, conservation and management of protected areas with a view of conservation of unique and typical natural complexes and objects, wild fauna and wild flora, and ecological education of the population. Land areas that are integral part of protected area s under management by state and municipal environmental institutions shall not be subject to privatization. Regional protected areas can be instituted either with or without land expropriation from landowners, landlords, land tenants and lessees.

This Regional Law regulates relations concerning ownership, tenure, management and disposal of agricultural land plots and agricultural land shares in common property. It establishes maximum and minimum land areas of the consolidated plots of agricultural land in case of allotment thereof out of stock of public and municipal land. Mass media shall have the duty to publish information related to turnover of the plots of agricultural land. The plots of agricultural land can be allotted to citizens for farming, grazing and haymaking, and other agricultural purposes.

This Order prescribes the fees to be taken in the Land Registry for the purposes of the Land Registration Act (Northern Ireland) 1970 and the manner in which those fees are to be paid. Fees set out in Schedule 1 shall be payable in respect of the matters therein mentioned. The Order sets out the determination of the value of any estate in land (in case of sale, lease or exchange of land or transfer as a tenant in common, joint tenant or coparcener) and provide for payment of fees and reduction of or exemption from payment of fees.

Regional Law No. 109-OZ “On allotment of land plots free of charge to citizens”.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of allotment of public or municipal land plots free of charge to citizens with three or more children, residing on the regional territory, and establishes minimum and maximum land areas. It shall be applicable to land plots under housing constructions. Families with three or more children under age shall be granted the right of allotment of the aforesaid plots of land free of charge once-only on condition of ownership. Minimum land area shall be 0, 04 ha and maximum land area shall be 0, 2 ha.
