The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

La presente Resolución tiene por objeto establecer los criterios y lineamientos generales de la gestión socio-predial para todos aquellos proyectos a cargo del Fondo Adaptación que requieran la adquisición o afectación de predios para la ejecución de obras de mitigación de riesgo o de adaptación al cambio climático, según criterios y estándares internacionales, constitucionales y legales.
Regional Law No. 10-ZKO amending Regional Law No. 120-ZKO “On objects of cultural heritage”.
Article 8 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Regional executive body competent in the sphere of conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage shall be responsible for the performance of arrangements related to conservation, management and promotion of the objects of cultural heritage”.

Regional Law No. 1997-OZ amending Regional Law No. 1243-OZ “On turnover of agricultural land”.
Article 2 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Regional Government shall have preferential rights of purchase of plots of agricultural land at face value except for cases of sale through public tender of expropriation for public or municipal needs”.

Succession (Scotland) Act 2016 (2016 asp 7).
This Act provides rules concerning how property passes on a person‘s death. This includes reforms which relate to the rectification of wills; the effect of divorce, dissolution or annulment on a will or special destination; and the revival of a revoked will. It concerns, among other things, survivorship, the provision of new rules where there is uncertainty about the order of death, forfeiture, estate administration, protections for trustees and executors in certain circumstances and for persons acquiring title in good faith.
Regional Law No. 9-Z amending Regional Law No. 32-Z “On turnover of agricultural land”.
Article 7-1 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Peasant farm shall be granted the right of allotment of agricultural land out of stock of public or municipal land”.
