This Regulation, consisting of six Parts, implements the Survey and Mapping Infrastructure Act 2003 by defining the principles to be applied in carrying out surveys (Part 2), setting the geodetic reference framework (Part 3), providing for survey standard and survey guideline matters (Part 4), and establishing watercourse identification and non-tidal boundary (watercourse) location (Part 5).

Acquisition of Land Regulation, 2014.
This Regulation provides for the implementation of the Acquisition of Land Act 1967 by prescribing the fees applicable under section 9 of the Act. The fee payable for an application under section 9 of the Act is: (a) if the application relates to only 1 parcel of land: $167.90; or (b) if the application relates to more than 1 parcel of land: $167.90 plus $49.80 for each additional parcel of land.

Torres Strait Islander Land Regulation 2011.
This Regulation, consisting of 38 sections and divided into five Parts, provides for the grant of land as Torres Strait Islander land. It contains the procedure for the granting of transferable land as Torres Strait Islanders land and provides about land trusts (including payments to members, land trust to indemnify members and immunity of members); code of conduct about mining leases; mining royalties; Declaration; and Repeal and transitional provisions. The Regulation is completed by one Schedule.
Survey and Mapping Infrastructure (Survey Standards—Requirements for Mining Tenures) Notice (No. 1) 2011.
This notice, consisting of four sections, provides for Survey and Mapping Infrastructure Requirements for Mining Tenures and establishes that the The survey standards contained in the document called ‘Survey Requirements for Mining Tenures, Version 3.0’ have been made by the chief executive under section 6 of the Act. The survey standards contained in the document called ‘Survey Requirements for Mining Tenures, Version 2.0’ are repealed.

This notice, consisting of six sections, provides for making of survey standards and establishes that the survey standards contained in each of the following documents have been made by the chief executive under section 6 of the Act: (a) the document called ‘Survey Requirements for Mining Tenures, Version 2.0’; (b) the document called ‘Cadastral Survey Requirements, Version 6.0’.
