A Convenção das Nações Unidas sobre os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência define as Pessoas com Deficiência como incluindo aquelas que têm deficiências físicas, mentais, intelectuais ou sensoriais de longo prazo que, em interação com várias barreiras, podem dificultar sua participação plena e efetiva na sociedade em uma base de igualdade com outras pessoas.

In this episode of the LandUP! podcast, we wanted to better understand a largely unexplored subject matter: the land rights of persons with disabilities. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities defines Persons with Disabilities as including those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.

The Forest Research and Training Centre (FRTC) is pleased to announce the launch of Nepal’s National Land Cover Monitoring System (NLCMS) to mark Earth Day. The system uses cloud computing and artificial intelligence to generate consistent data on how much of a region is covered by forests, wetlands, agriculture, and other land and water types, on an annual basis.
