This Regulation prescribes the detailed content of the Action Programme for the protection of waters against the pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources on the territory of the Croatian Republic.The action plan contains all necessary rules and procedures also part of the international standards aimed to reduce the water pollution caused or induced by nitrates from agricultural sources and to prevent further or new pollution.

By virtue of this Decision, the European Commission grants to Ireland a derogation to the second subparagraph of paragraph 2 of Annex III to Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. The derogation has the purpose of allowing a higher amount of livestock manure than that provided in the Directive. This Decision applies on an individual basis to grassland farms and subject to certain conditions relating to the application of manure and other fertilizers and land managemen.

Le présent règlement grand-ducal modifie le règlement grand-ducal du 24 novembre 2000 concernant l’utilisation de fertilisants azotés dans l’agriculture. Notamment, le règlement modifie, entre autres, l’article 6 concernant la fuite d’éléments nutritifs dans les eaux et l’article 8 établissant que toutes les exploitants agricoles doivent disposer de cuves permettant le stockage des effluents d’élevage pendant 6 mois, soit sur l’exploitation même, soit auprès de tiers. The present Act shall streamline the regulatory process governing oil/gas development in the Province. In particular, section 3 of the afore-mentioned Act establishes the “Alberta Energy Regulator” as a corporation.

This Regional Act sets out the legislative framework for promoting the economic and social development of mountain areas. To this end it promotes the creation of “mountain unions” which are composed of municipalities falling within mountain territories. These entities shall exercise the functions listed in article 3, which cover the following areas: land reclamation in mountain territories; management of waters resources; forest management; renewable sources of energy. The Regional Fund for Mountain Areas is set up for the attainment of the objectives pursued by this law.

Council Directive 91/676/EEC sets out the legislative framework concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. Derogations may be granted to Member States under certain conditions. The present Decision grants the derogation requested by the Netherlands for the purpose of allowing a higher amount of grazing livestock manure applied to the land each year than that provided for in subparagraph (a) of paragraph 2 of Annex III to Directive 91/676/EEC. This Decision applies on an individual basis to grassland farms.

These Regulations provide, for purposes of implementation of the give effect to Irelands Third Nitrates Action Programme, rules relative to good agricultural practice to protect waters against pollution from agricultural sources and prescribe measures for these purposes, including: periods when land application of fertilizers is prohibited; limits on the land application of fertilizers; storage requirements for livestock manure; and monitoring of the effectiveness of the measures in terms of agricultural practice and impact on water quality.

These Regulations amend the European Union (Good Agricultural Practice for Protection of Waters) Regulations 2014 so as to give effect to the Commission Implementing Decision on granting a derogation requested by Ireland pursuant to Council Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. They also make technical amendments to sections 17 and 26 of the principal Regulations and insert a new Part (7) on implementation of the Commission Decision.

These Regulations prohibit the use of lead shot for shooting with a shot gun on or over wetlands. " Wetlands" is described by the Ramsar Convention on wetlands. Regulation 5 sets out powers to enable a constable to ascertain whether an offence has been committed under these Regulations. Regulation 5 creates the offence of contravention of regulation 4, which prohibits use lead shot for the purpose of shooting with a shot gun on or over wetlands.
