For the purpose of subsection 124(1) of the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act, a regulatory authority or a designated regulatory agency that receives an application for a licence, permit or other authorization required to carry out a proposed development, under a provision of a Federal Act and Regulations or a Northwest Territories Act or Regulations as set out in the Schedules, shall conduct a preliminary screening of the proposed development before the issuance of the licence, permit or authorization.

These Regulations do not apply to a use of land authorized pursuant to grazing or agricultural leases subsequent to its initial clearing, and to harvesting, hunting, trapping or fishing. Regulation 4 specifies activities on land that are prohibited without having a Type A Permit, whereas regulation 5 lists activities for which a Type B permit is required. No person shall deposit material or debris in a watercourse contrary to the Northwest Territories Waters Act or the Fisheries Act, or any regulations made under those Acts (reg.9).

Le décret fixe, en outre, les dispositions relatives au contenu, à l'élaboration et la révision de ces documents.

Ce décret porte dispositions relatives à la création, à la réalisation et à la suppression ou modification des zones d'aménagement concerté.

This Act and the regulations apply to all land within the boundaries of any forest reserves established pursuant to this Act. "Forest reserves" is all land described in the appendix to the agreement set forth in the Schedule to chapter 20 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1948, and to chapter 59 of the Statutes of Canada, 1947. All forest reserves within Alberta are set apart and established for the conservation of the forests and other vegetation in the forests and for the maintenance of conditions favourable to an optimum water supply.

This Resolution of the Council of Ministers approves coastal zone planning. It consists of 3 articles defining the principles to be applied in order to perform land use planning within the coasts of the Portuguese territory. It concerns: coastal land use planning, pollution control, beach management, etc.

This Regional Decree regulates the approval of coastal zone management plans according to Decree-Law No. 303/93 (on the national approval of coastal zone management plans). It establishes composition, duties and competencies of the regional authorities entitled to manage and control this sector.

The Government, for the purpose of the realization of the state control over urban planning, the improvement of the land use planning and ensuring the state executive bodies with the trustworthy information as regards the surroundings, decrees to validate the Regulation. The Federal Committee on Construction, Housing and Communal Services is the especially authorized institution for the state regulation in the sphere of state technical registration and inventory of the urban planning objects.

This Decree approves the Regulation on environmental pollution control established by Law No. 997 of 31 May 1976. The Regulation consists of 7 Parts and 8 Annexes specifying in details all the requirements and conditions to be satisfied by industries, or any other activity which may contaminate the environment in order to prevent and control water, soil and air pollution. Part I establishes general provisions (including definition of prohibited activities and restrictions to be observed). Part II concerns water pollution, specifying water classification and standards to be satisfied.

This Law establishes the obligation of drawing up regional environmental plans in order to avoid or prevent soil erosion. It consists of 7 articles establishing that lands must comply with specified environmental requirements.
