This report highlights the situation of women in the South-West and Hauts-Bassins of Burkina Faso: from land management to women's access to land, to the management of their income. The report illustrates major challenges and highlights possible solutions. It also provides an overview of the situation for young people and migrants. The paper also contains a base of recommendations aimed at boosting women's secure access in the two (2) regions identified.

The unknown land use policy effec[1]tiveness is how and where the formulation and identification of land use problems affect the throughput of policy implementation. The main objective of this paper is to assess the effectiveness of land policy processes using models of public policy analysis.

This assessment study on land policy in Africa was initiated by the Civil Society (CSO) Platform, and supported by UN-Habitat, Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), International Land Coalition (ILC) and Welthungerhilfe (WHH).
