Panduan ini mengelaborasikan berbagai informasi terkait ekologi dan silvikultur Aleurites moluccana (L.) Willd., dengan fokus wilayah di Indonesia. Panduan ini juga mencakup informasi pertumbuhan dan hasil dari beragam sumber pustaka maupun berdasarkan pengukuran tegakan petani di lokasi penelitian kami di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Panduan ini merupakan salah satu dari lima panduan yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan referensi dalam usaha penanaman pohon rakyat untuk lima jenis pilihan di Indonesia.

This manual gathers information on the ecology and silviculture of Anthocephalus cadamba Miq., with a focus on Indonesia. It also includes growth and yield data from published sources, collected from smallholders’ farms in the research sites in South Kalimantan province, and collected previously by the Forestry Research and Development Agency of Indonesia. The manual is one of the five manuals produced to guide smallholder tree planting of five selected tree species in Indonesia.

Panduan ini juga mencakup informasi pertumbuhan dan hasil dari beragam sumber pustaka maupun berdasarkan pengukuran tegakan petani di lokasi penelitian kami di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan, dan juga berdasarkan data pertumbuhan tegakan yang telah dikumpulkan sebelumnya oleh Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Kehutanan.

El objetivo de este documento es evaluar la situación normativa del aprovechamiento de madera en las concesiones castañeras de Madre de Dios desde el año 2004, cuando se publicó la norma con carácter de complementariedad que permitió esta actividad y hasta la zafra concluída para el año 2010. Para este fin se analizaron las cifras oficiales de volúmenes extraídos de madera tanto en concesiones castañeras y en concesiones madereras dentro de las Administraciones Técnicas de Tahuamanu y Tambopata-Manu.

Le Cameroun a adopté une nouvelle loi des forêt en 1994 qui mettait l’accent sur le secteur forestier industriel, à grande échelle, et orienté vers l’exportation, tout en négligeant le bois produit avec des opérations d’échelle plus petite, pour le marché intérieur. Ce bois n’est pas enregistrée dans les statistiques officielles et il est principalement produit sans titre valide d’exploitation.

La République du Congo a adopté une loi forestière en 2000 qui met l’accent sur le secteur forestier industriel à grande échelle orienté vers l’exportation. Le bois d’oeuvre tiré d’une exploitation à plus petite échelle et tourné vers le marché intérieur a été négligé. Ce bois n’est pas enregistré dans les statistiques officielles et il est essentiellement produit sans titre valide. Or le Congo a paraphé en 2009 puis signé en 2010 l’Accord de partenariat volontaire (APV) avec la Commission européenne qui l’engage à assurer la légalité de toute la production nationale de bois d’ici à 2013.

The typical practice by smallholder teak growers of letting trees grow without management input has resulted in poor quality plantations.
