The promulgation of the Kenyan Constitution 2010 brought into place concerns about the urgency for land reform. Land reforms hold the key to solving some of Kenya’s greatest challenges such as landlessness, community cohesion, food security and sustainable development. Land reforms lie at the heart of the work of the National Land Commission (NLC) and Kituo cha Sheria and they are also at the heart of many Kenyan communities who live, work and rely on land. Information contained in the book goes a long way in educating these communities about their land rights.

The forests are being depleted with impunity thus destroying the water catchments.

El artículo efectúa un análisis dogmático y exegético de las instituciones jurídicas sobre acceso al agua en las provincias áridas del oeste argentino para determinar similitudes y diferencias entre las regulaciones. Estas características se indagan vinculadas con el carácter centralizado o descentralizado del acceso al agua para inferir una serie de principios comunes que pueden ser utilizados como criterios de interpretación y constituyen fuente del derecho en caso de insuficiencia o silencio del ordenamiento positivo.

En atención a los problemas de contaminación y al estrés hídrico que se dan actualmente (y que repercuten en la salud y en las condiciones de vida de las personas) se considera relevante analizar el tema del acceso al agua potable a la luz del Derecho Internacional Público, con el fin de identificar las bases jurídicas para la tutela de las demandas de agua para el consumo humano.
