En virtud de esta Ley se crea la Comisión Especial de Tierra, Vivienda y Habitat, cuya misión consiste en desarrollar como política pública prioritaria del Estado provincial el derecho de sus habitantes al acceso a la tierra, la vivienda y la preservación del hábitat, procurando la protección de los derechos de los mismos en relación al suelo y la participación ciudadana en la determinación e implementación de las políticas públicas correspondientes.

Liens on Crops of Sugar Cane Act 1931.

This Act amends the laws relating to liens upon sugar cane. In the Act, lien “means the charge (made enforceable under this Act when registered and while subsisting) whereby any crop and the proceeds thereof become security for the discharge of any debt or obligation (sect. 2). Section 5 requires the chief executive to keep a register of all liens, other sections concern the operation of the register (sect. 6 to 7R) and matters related to liens.

This Act makes provision with respect to agreements on the fencing of land and actual fencing. This Act shall apply to such areas as the Minister may, by statutory notice, declare. The Minister shall not apply this Act to any area unless the majority of owners of occupied farms in the area present and voting have expressed themselves in favour of such application at a meeting convened in accordance with this Act.

This Regional Law regulates management and protection of land as a basis for vital activity of the population. Regional administration shall have the following competence in the sphere of land relations: (a) enforcement of the federal land legislation; (b) expropriation, including bailout, of plots of land for public needs; (c) elaboration and realization of regional programs for land conservation; (d) management and disposal of land plots pertaining to regional property; and (e) other plenary powers not pertaining to federal bodies or local government.
