This Act aims to regulate the conversion and development of paddy fields and protect wetland areas in order to promote agricultural growth, ensure food security and sustain the ecological system in the State of Kerala.The Act provides for the establishment of a Local Level Monitoring Committee in each Panchayat or Municipality, a State Level Committee and a District Level Authorized Committee in each District to decide on the reclamation of paddy land for public purposes or for construction of residential building for owners of the paddy land.The Act prohibits the conversion or reclamation

Protected Places Order, 2010.

This Order establishes the declaration of protected place. It specifies the place in the first column of the Schedule, more particularly described in the plan specified in the second column deposited in the office of the Surveyor-General, is hereby declared to be a protected place for the purposes of the Act. Item 4 in the Schedule to the Order Declaring Protective Places (GN 192/97) is revoked. The Schedules specifies the protected areas: Buildings and areas, Internal Security Department, Temburong Branch (New), Bangar Town, Mukim Bangar, Temburong District.

These Regulations are primarily concerned with the organization of Government's responses to the threat and the occurrence of floods. The Government flood control administration is based on a system of flood control headquarters established at national and local levels, and at the level of designated major river basins such as those of the Yangtze and the Huang rivers (arts. 6 and 7). Flood control plans are to be drawn up by such Headquarters centres and by all other agencies and enterprises with flood fighting responsibilities (arts. 11 and 12).

The aim of this Directive is the integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from the activities listed out in Annex I, such as energy industries, production of basic organic chemicals, waste management, production of pulp from timber, slaughtering and production of food products from animal or vegetable raw materials. This Directive lays down measures designed to prevent or reduce, as the case may be, emissions in the air, water and land from the activities aforementioned, in order to achieve a high level of the environment taken as a whole.
