The Voluntary Guidelines: Securing our rights - Mongolia

FAO’s Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security (VGGT) were endorsed by the Committee on World Food Security in May 2012. These Voluntary Guidelines have been described as a catalyst leading to improvements in the conditions under which land is held or occupied in the agriculture sectors. The Guidelines address problems of weak governance of tenure and the growing pressure on natural resources, thereby assisting countries to achieve food security for all.

Cette étude a été réalisée dans le cadre du Projet de développement de la Région Sud-Ouest (PDRSO), projet financé par l’Agence française de développement (AFD).

L’étude avait pour objectifs de :

  •  quantifier les flux de sciages artisanaux de bois d’œuvre entrant et sortant de Bangui,
  •  Caractériser cette filière.

Elle a été conduite dans le cadre du Projet de développement régional du Sud-Ouest (PDRSO) qui a débuté ses activités en octobre 2016 et dont les objectifs spécifiques sont :

Previous literature on social equity has focused on procedure, distribution and recognition related to land use governance. We propose novel approach to examine social equity by following ideational turn with an aim to explore globally used and locally persistent myths that (mis)inform governance in practice and effect on the three dimensions of social equity for reindeer herding in northern Finland.

The native communities of San Martín and its representative organizations face innumerable challenges in relation to their lands and territory, environment, governance, identity, justice and physical integrity, among others. For many years the land titling process was stagnant due to lack of funding, but today, with the presence of several projects that have considerable sums destined to the degree, the natives are be prepared and trained in this subject, as well as in the multiplicity of issues that challenges them.
