These Regulations provide a framework for the integrated prevention and control of pollution arising from industrial activities. They also lay down rules designed to prevent or, where that is not practicable, to reduce emissions into air, water and land and to prevent the generation of waste, in order to achieve a high level of protection of the environment taken as a whole.
This Act provides for the administration of lands. Section 3 provides that land belonging to foundations and administrations and other specified land shall vest in the Government. The Act further makes provision with respect to claims, etc. in such lands.
These Regulations amend regulation 21 of the principal Regulations. Regulation 21 originally provided, inter alia, for control of groundwater quality. That part of the Regulation is now deleted.

These provisions aim at implementing the Land Registration Act, particularly as regards the application for the registration of land or the issue of a certificate of title and application for registration of acquistion by prescription. Article 13 concerns appeals against the decisions of the Registrar; article 14 concerns claims for indemnity.
These provisions set out a regulatory framework for the assessment and management of flood risks, aiming at the reduction of the adverse consequences for human health, the environment, cultural heritage and economic activity associated with floods.
