This extensive Act regulates the law between the landlord and tenant in Manitoba. It is divided into four Parts as follows; Part I Leases and Tenancies Locations Covenants running with Reversion. Part II Disputes as to right to Distrain. Part III Proceedings against Overholding Tenants. Part IV repealed. The Act ends with the Schedules.Part I is subdivided as follows: Apportionment of Condition of Re-entry (sect. 8); Sub-lessee and Title to Reversion (sect. 9); Defects in Leases (sects. 10-15); Merger of Reversions (sect. 16); Right of Re-entry (sect. 17); Forfeiture of Leases (sects. 18 and 19); Leases, Under-Leases and Forfeiture (sects. 20-22); Licences (sects. 23 and 24); Waiver of Convenant (sect. 25); Covenant to pay taxes (sect. 26); Notices to Quit (sect. 27); Tenant to notify Landlord (sect. 28); Distress for rent (sects. 29-32); Property liable to Distress (sects. 33-38); Tenant's Right of Set-Off (sect. 39); Fraudulent Removal (sects. 40-42); Impounding Distress (sect. 43); Pound, Breach or Rescue (sect. 44); Sale of Goods Distrained (sect. 45); Right of Landlord on Tenant's Bankruptcy (sects. 46 and 47); Distrainable Goods taken in Execution (sects. 48 and 49); Wrongful or Irregular Distress (sects. 50 and 51); Liability of Tenants Overholding (sects. 52 and 53); Attornment (sects. 54-56); Renewals or Leases (sect. 57); Renewals or Leases (sect. 57); Renewal of Lease by Absentees (sect. 58). Part II is dealt with under sections 59-66 and Part III is subdivided into Summary Proceedings for non-payment of Rent (sects. 73-77). The contents of the Schedules are: Notice to Landlord; Writ of Possession; Summons for Eviction; Order for Eviction; Form 5 repealed; Form 6 repealed.
