The Act is divided in the following parts:I, Definitions and Interpretation; II, The Strata Corporation; III, The Owner Developer; IV, Strata Corporation Governance; V, Property; Property; VI, Finances; VII, Bylaws and Rules; VIII, Rentals; IX, Insurance; X, Legal Proceedings and Arbitration; XI, Sections; XII, Leasehold Strata Plans; XIII, Phased Strata Plans; XIV, Land Titles; XV, Strata Plan Amendment and Amalgamation; XVI, Cancellation of Strata Plan and Winding Up of Strata Corporation; XVII, General; Schedule of Standard Bylaws.As per this Act a strata plan is a plan on which the boundaries of the strata lots are defined on a horizontal plane by survey markers and not by the floors, walls or ceilings of a building. The provisions deal with the institution of the Strata Plan Corporation whose tasks and responsibilities are tto safeguard the interests of the strata owners. Provisions are detailed on the rights of owners, purchasers, tenants of those strata. Land strata shall be registered and their boudaries defined.
