Law No. 9895 of 2008 amending and supplementing Law No.9482 of 2006 on the legalization, urbanization, and integration of unlawful constructions.

This Law amends and supplements Law No. 9482 of 2006 in articles 1-6, 10, 13, 15, 27-45 while repealing articles 11 and 14. The scope of the Law has changed to exclude unlawful constructions that are taller than 3 floors built in private lands within the yellow line when they do not represent unlawful additions to existing objects, or within 100 meters from the national highways except when they are included in previously approved informal zones.Amendments include also changes in the duties and responsibilities of the Agency for Legalization, Urbanization and Integration of Unlawful Construction, the rules of procedure for the legalization of unlawful construction, and the urbanization process for the legalized zones/residential areas/residential blocks.
