Addressing insecurity around land has consequently been one of the foremost priorities of the post-conflict reforms initiated in Rwanda following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Rwanda set out to address the issue of land ownership and land-related challenges through passage of several laws and policies.

Social acceptance is considered as a very important phenomenon in the development of renewable energy projects and the accomplishment of the energy policy goals. The aim of this research is to explore the determinants of community acceptance of renewable energy technologies while focusing on consumer orientation towards these projects. A qualitative study based on a semantic analysis and a deductive approach is used to study the determinants of the phenomenon in question.
