African Journal on Land Policy and Geospatial Sciences is a journal specialized in publishing research activities carried out in the field of geo-spatial sciences and land governance. It aims to encourage innovation, promote the exchange of knowledge and scientific outcomes related to its themes. The journal's target community is made-up of researchers, professors and professionals working in the newspaper field. The journal also aims to promote scientific articles and productions at the African, regional and global levels. The institutions as well as the international universities will enrich by their contribution the scientific level of the journal. There is increasing awareness that innovations foster inclusive land administration and ease of access to land among citizens but studies exploring innovations in government within the context of developing countries are scanty. This study examines the effect of innovations in government on exploitation of land as a source of wealth, security of rights to land, private land ownership, and supply of information on land-use in Lagos State. The study uses a mixed research methodology. First, we identified two dimensions of innovations in government using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA).

The Continental Land Policy Initiative, now the African Land Policy Centre, has made tremendous progress in generating knowledge on land governance since inception in 2006. A key milestone was the formulation of a Framework and Guidelines on Land Policy in Africa in 2009 upon which the African Union Declaration on Land Issues in Africa was prepared and endorsed in Libya in July 2009.

L’accès des femmes au foncier est au cœur de l’actualité depuis trois décennies. Dans le Sud de la Mauritanie, la mainmise des hommes sur les terres est une réalité. Les femmes ne représentent que 4.2% des détenteurs des Titres fonciers. L’égalité entre l’homme et la femme en matière d’accès à la propriété foncière est ainsi loin d’être atteinte et le genre un objectif lointain dans le foncier.
