Section 3 of the present Act establishes that the corporation known as the "British Columbia Assessment Authority" is continued consisting of the board of directors appointed under section 11. The purpose of the authority is to establish and maintain assessments that are uniform in the whole of British Columbia in accordance with the Assessment Act.
Managed Forest Land and Cut Timber Values Regulation (B. C. Reg. 90/2000).
The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the assessment of managed forest land and cut timber.
Land Values for Farm Land Regulation (B.C. Reg. 276/84).
The present Regulation enacts the Assessment Act. The Regulation lays down provisions relating to the assessment of farm land. In particular, section 1 establishes that the enclosed land value schedules must be used for determination of value for the purposes of assessment of agricultural land. Assessment Act ([RSBC 1996] Chapter 20).
The present Act lays down provisions relating to assessment of property in the province of British Columbia. Section 18 establishes that all land and improvements in British Columbia are liable to assessment under the present Act unless exempted under this or another enactment. In particular, Part 3 deals, inter alia, with special valuation rules for dams, power plants and substations, valuation rules for designated port land, as well as with classification of land as a farm and classification and valuation of forest land.
Subdivision Plan Regulation (B.C. Reg. 220/93).
The present Regulation enacts section 6 of the Land Survey Act dealing with subdivisions of land surveyed in sections. Section 1 of the above-mentioned Regulation shows how such a subdivision may be laid out.
