The present Regulations are made under the Land Surveyors Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the activities of land surveyors. For the purpose of the present Regulations “approved education program” means an education program that prepares a person for entry to the profession of land surveying, as approved by an examining body determined by the Council.
Land Registration General Regulations (N.S. Reg. 45/2012).
The present Regulations are made under the Land Registration Act. In particular, the Act provides for the efficient and correct enactment of the afore-mentioned Act. The text – consisting of 13 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: designation of counties, establishment of registration districts, registration regions, location of land registration offices, fees, fees exemption.

The present Act provides for the orderly carrying out of professional land surveying in the Province of Nova Scotia.
Indian Lands Act (R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 219).
The present Act validates the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Nova Scotia for the Settlement of Questions respecting Indian Reserve Lands. Section 4 establishes that the Governor in Council may do, or may authorize a member of the Executive Council to do, every act necessary or proper for the exercise or enjoyment of any power, privilege or right conferred upon or vested in the Government of Nova Scotia under the annexed Agreement. The text consists of 4 sections and 1 Schedule.
Provincial Soil Act (S.N.S. 2008, c. 9).
The present Act lays down provisions relating to provincial soil. Section 2 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that Queens Soil is declared to be the Provincial Soil of the Province. The text consists of 3 sections.
