Sarah Ephrida Tione holds a PhD in Economics obtained at the School of Economics and Business (HH), Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in 2021. She obtained her Master in Agricultural and Applied Economics focusing on agricultural policy and marketing from the University of Malawi, under the Collaborative Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics in Africa (CMAAE) in 2011. Her research focus is on (i) sustainable economic development; (ii) agricultural policy and marketing; and (iii) land economics and governance in developing regions. For her PhD, she has published work related to “Land markets and agricultural household decisions nexus in Malawi”.
