Jescah is a seasoned researcher and communicator, who combines her expertise in crafting clear messages with a passion for impactful solutions. As a 2021 Africa Civic Engagement Fellow and a curious social scientist, Jescah brings a data-driven approach to her work, fuelled by a desire to generate evidence for positive change. She is a Global Peace Ambassador, who is highly experienced and skilled in mediation and dialogue through successfully spearheading the resolution of complex conflicts across diverse groups in Kenya. Jescah holds a Master of Science Degree in Communications and is currently pursuing a PhD in the same field.

Heavy rains have lashed Kenya in recent weeks, causing widespread flooding that has displaced thousands, destroyed infrastructure, and devastated livelihoods. In the interest of student and staff well-being, the Ministry of Education has announced a delay in school re-opening. While these seasonal floods are not uncommon, the severity of this year's event highlights a crucial issue: our relationship with land.
