This Act makes provision for the administration of estates of deceased persons, of persons that need or are granted protection by law and all property given in trust by deceased persons. This Act shall not apply to the estates of deceased tribesmen, which as heretofore, shall be administered according to the customary law.The Act provides for the making of inventories of estates, appointment and functioning of administrators, tutors and curators, restrictions on alienation of mortgages or immovable property by tutors or curators and the continuation of the Guardian’s Fund to be administered by the Accountant-General.
