Article 24 shall be amended to add the following wording: “Authority carrying out state registration of rights to immovable property and transactions therewith shall submit to the authorized institution for combating the financing of terrorism and legalization of proceeds of crime information on transactions with immovable property”.

The Land Parcel Identification System is the national identification system of exclusive state property, to be used in administrative procedures of area payments.

This Circular adopts the Manual on Land Survey Procedures. This Manual consisting of 13 Chapters divided into five Parts and completed by XXVI Annexes, establishises this Manual as a useful reference for Geodetic Engineers and Contractors, Land Management Bureau (LMB), Land Management Services (LMS) in the different DENR Regional Offices, the Local Government Units (LGUs) and other stakeholders as it embodies the updated guidelines on the execution of all types of land surveys taking into consideration the technological advances in recent times. The Act makes provision with respect to titles in land, the development of selected land, and the resolution of disputes regarding land and various other matters relating to land. As a corollary to the principle that land in Lesotho is vested absolutely and irrevocably in the Basotho Nation and is held by the State, no person, other than the State, shall hold any title to land except as provided for under customary law or under this Act. Where the customary law is inconsistent with this Act, this Act shall prevail (sect. 3).

These Rules provide for the registration of an entry of compliance with a property adjustment order, pursuant to section 9 of the Family Law Act 1995 or section 14 of the Family Law (Divorce) Act 1996 as amended by sections 74 and 75 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2008. An application for cancellation of a Property Adjustment Order pursuant to section 9 of the Family Law Act 1995 or section 14 of the Family Law (Divorce) Act 1996 may be made in Form 13, 14 or 15 in the Schedule of Forms to these Rules.

This Regional Law establishes plenary powers and jurisdictional competence of state bodies and local government in the sphere of land relations. Regional Government shall be responsible for management of public land plots and also of land plots with undelimited ownership, expropriation of land for public needs, application of public servitude and application to land areas the status of protected areas.

This Ministerial Decree establishes that Federal Service of State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography shall be the authorized federal executive body carrying out functions of state registration of rights to immovable property and transactions therewith, land valuation, land survey, land monitoring and geodesy and cartography.

La presente Resolución regula el Registro de titularidad compartida de explotaciones agrarias, adscrito a la Dirección General de Desarrollo Sostenible del Medio Rural del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, y Medio Rural y Marino, en el que se anotará toda la información concerniente a las explotaciones en régimen de titularidad compartidas, que deberá contener la identificación de los cotitulares y, en su caso, del representante designado por éstos, así como la identificación de la explotación y su número de identificación fiscal.

The objects of the Act are (a) to simplify the title to land; (b) to facilitate dealings with land; (c) to secure indefeasibility of title to registered proprietors except in certain cases specified in this Act; (d) to facilitate access to information about administrative interests and other information in respect of land; and (e) to facilitate the collection and disposal of information in relation to land or to the buying or selling of land.

The scope of this Regional Law shall be performance of plenary powers of regional state bodies in the sphere of regulation of land relations. Regional Legislative Assembly shall be responsible for: (a) law-making in the sphere of land relations; (b) governance of public land; (c) establishment of case of allotment of public and municipal land free of charge to some categories of citizens; and (d) establishment of the modalities of land valuation.
