В нем приводятся некоторые конкретные примеры рыночных механизмов торговли такими лесными экосистемными услугами, как снабжение населения чистой водой, создание возможностей для рекреационной деятельности, сохранение биоразнообразия и смягчение последствий изменения климата посредством секвестрации углерода лесами и замещения древесин ой других материалов.
