L’objectif de cette étude est d’analyser les enjeux majeurs qui se posent en matière de sécurisation et de gestion du foncier pastoral et forestier au Sénégal, en vue de formuler des propositions ciblées permettant d’enrichir le paquet de propositions paysannes de réforme foncière déjà élaborées et portées par le Cadre National de Concertation et de Coopération des Ruraux (CNCR).

Le champ d’analyse  met l’accent sur les axes ci-après :

1/ identifier les grands enjeux de la gouvernance des ressources pastorales et forestières ;

The Department of Mineral Resources is attempting to develop oil and gas drilling in South Africa through Operation Phakisa. The project is still in the early stages of research and exploration, but the Department aims to have 30 wells built in 10 years. DME estimates very roughly, that as many as 9 billion barrels of oil and 9 billion barrels of gas could be within South African borders, and many national and international companies have expressed interest in investing in South African drilling.

In the framework of collaboration for country based case studies on land and natural resource tenure security in Eastern and Southern Africa by the University of Nairobi/ Centre for Urban Research and Innovation, a case study was conducted in Burundi. Data collection was based mainly on literature review of legal texts and all studies realized in the area of land tenure and natural resources in Burundi, and field visits. This paper presents only the synthesis of the information and data collected on land, water, mines and forests.
