In 2012 Papua New Guinea undertook a
national Service Delivery Assessment of rural water, rural
sanitation, urban water and urban sanitation services to
identify coverage and targets, how well services are being
delivered and the financing shortfalls in these subsectors.
Over the past 18 months, the World Bank
has been working on a comprehensive plan to address the

En 1995 se creó una comisión vecinal de sin tierras para representar a 200 familias; esto duró 5 años. Sin respuestas, se inició la ocupación de una propiedad privada. En ese tiempo fueron desalojados 5 veces y perseguidos los ocupantes. En 2000, después de una larga movilización se logró firmar un acuerdo para adjudicarse la tierra.
