Section 4 of the above-mentioned Act establishes that the Tsawwassen First Nation Final Agreement is approved, given effect and declared valid and has the force of law. The Act – consisting of 33 sections – addresses, inter alia, the following issues: rights and obligations, third parties, inconsistency with the Agreement, payments out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, fee simple estate, Tax Treatment Agreement, powers of Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, land management.

The purpose of the regulation of urban areas is to achieve rational use of the built environment and infrastructure; regulate local constructions; develop and protect natural and artificial environment; harmonize national, regional, local and private interests. In accordance with national rules on construction, local governments define their own rules.

This Act makes provision for the registration of land and related matters. It also defines certain rights relating to land and the effect of registration. The Act establishes a land register, which shall comprise a register in respect of every parcel which has been adjudicated in accordance with the Land Adjudication Act, 1978 and a register of leases required to be registered by this Act. Various provisions concern leases of registered land and charges on land.

This Act makes provision with respect to development of land in Montserrat and for these purposes establishes the Montserrat Land Development Authority. The Authority shall be a body corporate and shall encourage and secure the efficient and economic utilization of land vested in it or acquired by it in the interest of the people of Montserrat. The Authority shall develop land for agricultural settlement schemes in any area designated by the Governor in Council under section 18 of this Act.

The present Act lays down rules relating to expropriation in the province of Alberta. It applies to any expropriation authorized by the law of Alberta and prevails over any contrary provisions that may be found in the law, except the statutes enumerated in the Schedule.

The present Act sets out a series of measures which are designed to respect the acquisition of farmland by non-residents. It contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as "acquisition", "agriculture", "public road", "commission", "lot", "farm land". An Act to introduce a cadastral plan into the legislation of the province of Quebec. The task of implementing the said Act is entrusted to the Minister of Natural Resources, Wildlife and Parks who is going to apply the following rules some of which refer to, for example, contents of plans, establishment, original, townships, certification, regularization, land register.
